Tackling Trauma and Reducing Violence in London

In our third episode of Treating You we speak with Dr Martin Griffiths CBE on tackling trauma and reducing violence in London.

The capital has been going through what many have termed a crisis of violence for the last 5-10 years, with 30 teenagers murdered in 2021.

Martin Griffiths CBE is a consultant trauma surgeon at the Royal London Hospital and the first clinical director for violence reduction at NHS England.

Martin shares her career journey and experience working in trauma, dealing with young people and their families who have become embroiled in interpersonal violence and putting these young people back on the right path in life.
