Peer Power Youth’s Annual Awards 2023

On Thursday 7th December our NHS London Violence Reduction Programme young partners Peer Power Youth, hosted the Peer Power Youth Annual Awards 2023 at their brand-new workspace in Victoria. It was attended by the young people of Peer Power Youth, patrons, trustees, ambassadors, commissioners, funders, partners and supporters of Peer Power Youth’s work and impact. The evening honoured the outstanding accomplishments of young people at Peer Power Youth.

The Annual Awards opened with co-hosts and Peer Power Youth Young Partners, Rose and Tanvir. There were powerful stories and speeches delivered by Young Partners Rose, Arif, Tanvir, Louise, Saffron, and Rico and Lucia with an amazing singing performance.

The Award Ceremony featured a range of awards for Young Partners who created positive change in services in mental health, social care, justice, and violence reduction. Prestigious awards included ‘Peer Power Youth Champion Award’ presented to Rico, ‘The Outstanding Achievement Award, awarded to Arif and the ‘Award for exceptional contribution to Equality Diversity and Inclusion’ to Alexys, presented by Peer Power Youth, Chair of Trustees, Dame Lorna Borland Kelly, and Peer Power Youth Ambassador Ria Hebden.

All who attended enjoyed sharing achievements from Peer Power Youth and agreed that the young people within Peer Power Youth are a continuous source of joy and motivation.

Peer Power Youth highlighted key aspects of their work in 2023, including the work done with the NHS London Violence Reduction Programme and the Health and Justice Programme in London.
